
Birds & Bison Bike Tour
Saturday, May 3th, 2025
Pedal 20 scenic miles along the Mississippi River Greenway, taking in breathtaking river views! This guided tour will include stops for bikers interested in seeing majestic Sandhill Cranes, Eagles and Bison now located at Spring Lake Park. Best of all—the tour is FREE!
After the ride, unwind with a craft beer at the Spiral Brewery Taproom where $1 for every beer sold at Spiral goes to support Carpenter Nature Center. Also at the brewery, CNC will feature rooftop wildlife spotting scopes and a CNC Raptor.

Mississippi Greenway Trail
This 20-mile round trip tour will start on the Hastings Riverwalk. Riders will follow the Mississippi Greenway Trail out to Spring Lake Park – Schaar’s Bluff and Bison Prairie.
Starting Point: Hastings Riverwalk under the Hwy 61 Bridge
For driving directions, use 200 2nd Street West, Hastings, MN 55033
There is a public parking under the bridge, in the ramp across from The Confluence Hotel and on 2nd Street.
Check-in opens: 8:30 a.m.
Tour starts: 9:00 a.m.
Bathroom break in Schaar’s Bluff: ~ 10:00 a.m.
Arrive back in Hastings downtown:
Approx 11:15 a.m.

Resources, fun facts & tips:
- Those bikes have been sitting all winter. Be sure to check your tire pressure and chains prior to the tour.
- If the event is canceled due to weather, participants will be emailed by 5 p.m. on Friday, May 2nd
