Alexis Bailly Vineyard: This winery is open year-round, enjoy delicious local wines in their tasting room open winter hours Friday – Sunday 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Winter yurt reservations also available.

The Spiral Brewery: The Spiral Brewery is located in Hastings’s historic downtown on 2nd Street and features a community tap room that is family-friendly and welcomes well-behaved pups. Weekly calendar includes Wednesday night trivia, Thursday happy hour deals, live music Fridays, and more!

Bogey’s Pub: If you like indoor golf during the off-season, you need to visit Bogey’s Pub at Emerald Greens Golf Course and try one of our 8 state-of-the-art, high definition (HD), widescreen simulators. You can play Pebble Beach, St. Andrews, and Medinah just to name a few of the top 100 golf courses.

HOLIDAY FUN

The CPR Lighted Holiday Train rolls into Hastings each year with live performances by notably known artists. Caroling, hot chocolate, food & fun. FRIDAY, DECEMBER 12 at the CP Depot, 500 East Second Street at 8:45 pm. Come early & enjoy dinner downtown!

Join us for the Winter Solstice at LeDuc! Enjoy a festive evening of holiday lights, roasting s’mores, and meeting Victorian-era Santa, all at the charming Gothic-Revival LeDuc Estate on Sunday, Dec 20 from 5-9pm. Free to attend.

The beautiful Confluence Hotel hosts several holiday events including cozy Holiday Afternoon Tea parties, a special Christmas Eve Dinner, and a lively New Year’s Eve celebration in the ballroom. Special holiday room packages are also available!

HOCKEY DAY MINNESOTA | Jan 17 – Jan 24

Marking the 20th anniversary of this iconic event, Hastings is preparing to welcome over 80,000 hockey fans for a weekend filled with thrilling outdoor hockey, community pride, and unforgettable moments!

This milestone edition of Hockey Day Minnesota will be hosted at the United Heroes League complex, located off Ravenna Trail, providing a stunning backdrop for a one-of-a-kind hockey experience. Fans can expect a showcase of elite high school hockey talent, along with entertainment, winter festivities, and a vibrant Hockey Day Village.

HIT THE SLOPES

The Hastings area is home to two premium ski hills in Minnesota.

Afton Alps:
Nestled on the scenic St. Croix River Valley just outside Minneapolis and St. Paul, this sprawling resort offers 300 skiable acres, 48 trails, 18 lifts, and four terrain parks.

Welch Village Ski & Snowboarding Area:
Located just 20 minutes South of Hastings, Welch Village offers 140 acres of skiing in addition to a terrain park, food service, rental center, kids club, and Ski Link Learning Center.

WINTER FUN

Ice Carvings Festival: On Saturday, January 17, celebrate the winter season in Downtown Hastings, horse and wagon rides, a DJ, and live ice sculpture cutting! Walk the streets viewing the ice carvings in front of the stores, then step inside and warm up with a hot drink, food, or in-store sales items.

Enjoy a snowy, after-hours hike in the scenic St. Croix River valley at Carpenter Nature Center followed by a guided beer tasting at Spiral Brewery with this fun Owls & Ales event on January 8! Space is limited – sign up early!

FEBRUARY

FROZEN FUN

Frozen Mulligan: Join the Hastings Downtown Business Association for a nine-hole mini golf tour of Downtown on Saturday, February 21. Free to play & all completed scorecards will be entered into a prize drawing!

Discover the Frozen Vermillion Falls!

Located off of HWY 61 in Vermillion Falls Park, this stunning waterfall stands 35 feet high. Unique from other MN water falls, the Vermillion Falls are located right in the center of town! These falls frozen-over are a site to see, and you won’t want to miss their mighty release in early spring. Just a short walk west on the trail and you’ll find the gorge bridge with a beautiful view of the Vermillion River. Further downstream along the path is the ruins of the Ramsey Mill.

Masters of the Sky hosted by Carpenter St. Croix Valley Nature Center is a captivating program about birds of prey. Learn about eagles, hawks, falcons, and owls from around the world and see them close up.

CROSS-COUNTRY AND SNOWSHOEING

Spring Lake Park offers cross-country ski trails with spectacular views. Spring Lake Park Reserve / Schaar’s Bluff Trailhead has miles of dual-tracked, classic cross-country skiing and packed skate skiing trails.

Carpenter Nature Center has beautiful snowshoeing trails and hosts a special moonlight snowshoeing event for adults with views of the St. Croix River Valley.

Hastings Public House offers an incredible Winter Pass allowing visitors to use their golf course grounds for walking, sledding, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing! Single day, individual & family passes available.
