Apple Orchards! Just north of Hastings in the St. Croix River Valley, there are several apple orchards which allow guests to pick their own apples, berries and pumpkins. Most of the orchards offer fun family-friendly activities and in October, they team up for the St. Croix River Valley Apple Fest! Check out our apple orchards!

Plan a day date downtown! Plan a couple’s day complete with shopping, dining, craft beers, and entertainment in Hastings historic downtown on 2nd Street! Then save time for an evening stroll along the Hastings Riverwalk. Check out downtown!

Rent an Electric Bike! With 30 miles of paved biking and walking trails, visitors can enjoy a 10-mile loop, sweeping views of the rivers, scenic overlooks, and a hidden waterfall. Rent your eBike here! View a list of our scenic trails HERE.

Discover our Hidden Falls! This 35-foot Vermillion Falls is a perfect photo opportunity. Park in the Vermillion Falls Parking area and enjoy a walk along the trails for a spectacular view.  End your trip with dinner at one of the many local restaurants that offer indoor, outdoor & take-out options. Explore Trails at Carpenter Nature Center! Carpenter Nature Center has miles of trails to explore any day of the week. Located along the St. Croix River this area will leave you breathless with its spectacular views.

Craft Beer at the Local Brewery!  The Spiral Brewery’s mission is to brew community through quality beer and rich history and bring Hastings back to its brewing roots that were established in the 1800s. Enjoy a craft beer (or 2) at this top-rated Spiral Brewery where they not only have outdoor seating but they also have Hastings’s first rooftop patio. Then end of the evening with a stroll along the Hastings Riverwalk. (Access to the Riverwalk is at Levee Park, 20 Ramsey St.) 

Alexis Bailly Vineyard! Hastings is fortunate enough to have a top-rated winery and brewery within its community. Alexis Bailly Vineyard was the very first vineyard to make wine with 100% Minnesota-grown grapes. Discover our Vineyard!

 Disc Golf Park! C.P. Adams Park. The 18-hole course is open during all daylight hours and is free for the public to use. The park is complete with dual tees, chain basket goals and tee markers.

Go Extreme!  Extreme Sandbox, is a Heavy Equipment Adventure company that lets clients play on construction equipment. Yes, they let people drive a 26-ton excavator or bulldozer for FUN!

Historic Walking Tour!  Hastings is nationally known for its Victorian architecture and has a total of 62 buildings on the National Historic Register including 33 commercial buildings, 28 private homes, and 2 churches. There’s even a building designed by Frank Lloyd Wright who was recognized by the American Institute of Architects as “the greatest American architect of all time”.

Riverwalk! The NEW Hastings Riverwalk connects two city parks located right on the Mississippi River. Levee Park is a perfect spot for summer entertainment with a concert venue unlike any other. From May through September the pavilion, donated by the Hastings Rotary Club, fills up with live music, classes and outdoor movies! Experience our Riverwalk!

Tour the LeDuc Estate!  The LeDuc Historic Estate is one of the last remaining examples of Gothic Revival residential architecture in the United States. Take a guided tour of this picturesque home and learn all about General William LeDuc, his wife Mary, and their four children. During the holidays, the mansion is elegantly decorated in Victorian style.
