Discover the Frozen Vermillion Falls!

Located off of HWY 61 in Vermillion Falls Park, this stunning waterfall stands 35 feet high. Unique from other MN water falls, the Vermillion Falls are located right in the center of town! These falls frozen-over are a site to see, and you won’t want to miss their mighty release in early spring. Just a short walk west on the trail and you’ll find the gorge bridge with a beautiful view of the Vermillion River. Further downstream along the path is the ruins of the Ramsey Mill.

Carpenter Nature Center has beautiful snowshoeing trails and hosts a special moonlight snowshoeing event for adults with views of the St. Croix River Valley.

Spring Lake Park 8500 127th St E, Hastings, MN 55033
Enjoy the feel of northern Minnesota from this scenic park that overlooks the Mississippi River. A rest stop along the Great River Road, Spring Lake Park Reserve is the “hidden jewel” of the Upper Mississippi River Valley.

Hootenany 16

This musical event features over 40 live bands that play back-to-back at 8 different venues in downtown Hastings from 6:30pm til 2:00am Proceeds go to the Hastings Middle School music programs and local youth musicians.

Hastings Area Birding Festival

Celebrate birds and conservation at the Carpenter Nature Center MN Campus. Attend classes that introduce you to raptors, birding, bird banding, and go on guided bird trips through the Hastings area.

The Hastings/Prescott Bike Tour

Join us the first Saturday in May as we highlight the Mississippi River Greenway bike trail that offers stunning river views, and gets riders up close to unique birds and prairie bison!

LeDuc Historic Estate

The Leduc Historic Estate is one of the last remaining examples of Gothic Revival residential architecture in the United States. Take a guided tour of this picturesque home and learn all about General William Leduc, his wife Mary, and their four children. During the holidays, the mansion is elegantly decorated in Victorian style. Tours run May through October.

Historic Hastings Car Shows

Join us on 2nd Street in downtown Hastings the 3rd Sunday of every month May through September from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Downtown Hastings fills with classic cars, piped in music, and great food!
